Sandra McGirr

Sandra brings to TFSS strong organizational and project management skills, a background in community engagement, and a passion for environmental awareness and protection. Sandra completed a BScN in Nursing at McMaster University (Ontario, Canada) in 1987 and a Masters in Nursing (Global Health emphasis) at Athabasca University (Alberta, Canada) in 2010. She is an active member of numerous community associations and clubs within the Tatla Lake area, and has managed numerous projects in the community. She is the past president and Executive Director of a non-profit organization which she co-founded and operated with her husband, Sandy Hart, in the Andes Mountains of southern Peru. Both as an outdoor enthusiast and a Ministry of Forests consultant Sandra and her husband Sandy have explored and mapped many of the wilderness trails along the inland slopes of the Coast Mountains.
